Colored Pencil Exploration: An Adventure in a New Media (C/S144) | Allegany College of Maryland

Explore the art of colored pencil. This course provides demonstrations and instruction on learning how to create art with colored pencils. Although this colored pencil course contains basic information, it will benefit anyone from the beginner to the individual already involved in the creation of art. Go beyond what you think you know about the art of using a colored pencil creatively. Other topics covered in class will be colored pencil types, surfaces, compatible papers and boards. Along with learning to draw with colored pencils, the students will learn the drawing processes of composition, shading, proportion and style. This course will also lead students through the process of colored pencil artwork from conception to the creation of a final piece of artwork. The student is responsible for their art supplies.
