Commemorate the Battle of Fort Ligonier, a key engagement of the French and Indian War fought on October 12, 1758, by traveling with the Culture Coach to celebrate their 60th anniversary.
On the grounds of the Fort you will experience an encampment with living history demonstrations throughout the day. We will also be observing an artillery demonstration and reenactment of the 1758 battle.
Enjoy over 200 craft booths, where talented artisans will display and sell handmade items including wood furniture, candles, dried flowers, paintings & prints, stained glass, jewelry, leather, baskets, pottery, metal-work and more. No chance of going hungry with over 30 food vendors located around.
We will arrive in time to view the community parade that includes historic units, period reenactors from the French and Indian Wars, decorated floats, costumed characters, horses, stagecoaches, the Shrine units, special guests, local TV personalities, and marching bands.
Free outdoor entertainment includes something for everyone: Celtic, Country Rock, Brass, Oldies, tribute bands, and big names from the ’50s and ’60s!
