Hand Therapy & Splinting (CHE564) | Allegany College of Maryland

This course is designed to introduce the practitioner to the basics of handy therapy. Areas to be addressed are hand and upper extremity anatomy, edema management, scar management, functional exercise, functional activity, and splinting.  During lab sessions attendees will have ample time to apply learned techniques.  Common diagnoses of the hand, upper extremity, cervical spine and shoulder will be covered and conservative and post-operative protocols provided.  This course would be beneficial for practitioners in all settings from pediatrics to geriatrics, not just outpatient hand clinics.
