This spring, Electrical Systems, Pneumatic Systems, Basic Mechanical Systems and Hydraulic Systems are offered as part of the Industrial Technology Program in the Continuing Education Department. Presentation of each course involves a combination of online interactive reading material, hands-on laboratory exercises utilizing actual components and classroom lecture to insure a thorough understanding of the subject material. Progression through each subject is detailed in a syllabus, outlining online reading sections, lab exercises and the corresponding dates the material is scheduled to be covered. Students are expected to be prepared for classes by reading the online material to be covered in advance of the classes. Progression through each course will be maintained as outline in the syllabus; additional opportunities will be available to make-up scheduled work. Once all reading material and laboratory exercises have been completed, a certification test will be administered. Upon successful completion of the test, competency certification for the course will be issued.

Students are required to attend 80% of the course or he/she will be dropped from the class. Students who wish to re-enter the class may apply with a re-entry fee of $250.00, refunded upon successful completion of course and certification.

Tuition and fees include all texts, supplies, and any certification testing. Course sections are funded fully through one of the following: Department of Labor grant, WIOA, and other Government programs, which will cover all expenses. Students that complete courses successfully are in a strong position to apply for entry level industrial maintenance technician jobs.
