USCCA Basic Hand Gun Course (VTE930) | Allegany College of Maryland

This U.S. Concealed Carry Association course includes 6 hours of classroom instruction plus range instruction at a secure firing range off campus. The course focuses on the basic safety and use of a handgun. Students will learn universal safety rules, how to clear a semi-automatic and revolver, and ammunition components. Students will also discuss magazines, handgun selection, caliber ratings, and proper and safe firing techniques. Students are required to provide their own firearm and 100 rounds for the range exercises. Purchase of ammunition from the instructor (additional cost) is an option. Personal firearms and ammunition must be stored separately in a locked trunk of a vehicle until range firing activity. Students should also plan to bring a packed lunch.
